Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic wants to turn his Chelsea loan move into a permanent one, according to reports.
He joined the Spanish giants from Inter for a fee in the region of £25million in 2015, but found himself behind Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Casemiro in the pecking order at the Bernabeu and decided to join the Blues on a season-long loan last summer.
This season, though, he has made 34 appearances for Chelsea and could start in their Carabao Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday, which is live on talkSPORT.
And Spanish television outlet El Chiringuito report Kovacic has told Real he wants to stay at Chelsea beyond the end of the current campaign.

The 24-year-old is yet to score for the Blues and has registered just two assists having been rotated with Ross Barkley for most of the current campaign, though he remains a key part of Maurizio Sarri’s squad.
