Kovacic loves watching videos of great midfielders to try and improve his game
And watching the Manchester United legend – one of the game’s best midfielders – is certainly one way to help him adapt to a new environment.
“Every player has to be himself— but for me Scholes was one of the best ever, he told The Sun.
“He was amazing. I still enjoy watching his videos on YouTube.
Scholes scored 155 goals in 718 Man United games and was instrumental to much of their success
“Sometimes I go home and watch him to learn something new.
“He had everything, he was the modern midfielder — scoring goals, defending well, tackling. I don’t copy anybody but I do like to watch Scholes. I also watch other players to see what I can do better.
“Players like Luka Modric and Andres Iniesta, too.”
Kovacic is likely to make his switch to Stamford Bridge permanent next summer and also added he is working on adding goals to his game.
