Thomas Tuchel’s men have won just two of their last six matches in all competitions since an incredible 4-0 win over Juventus in the Champions League.
It looked like they could do no wrong but swiftly things changed and now the Blues are under pressure to get results to keep their title bid on track.
A dismal 1-1 draw with Everton last time out showcased their profligacy, while Tuchel has bemoaned their injury situation, admitting he could be forced into a crazy situation against Wolves.
Former Chelsea forward Tony Cascarino has give his take on the Stamford Bridge situation, and he believes it’s not just down to injuries.

He said: “I would say the injury to Chilwell against Juventus was a big [reason] because of how well he was playing. I would also add in N’Golo Kante has been a massive loss. I think [Mateo] Kovacic as well as has been another massive loss.
“Timo Werner and Lukaku haven’t played well enough from the start of the seasoin to where we are now and, for whatever reason, injuries and COVID, that’s played a part.
“They need those five players. The two forwards have got to come in and deliver goals when they are ready to play again. They have got to deliver immediately for Chelsea to have a chance.
“Once you get Kante or maybe Chilwell back into that team, maybe Kovacic, I think you’re talking about a completely different Chelsea.

“What we have seen in recent weeks, it was so extraordinary for me because I was at the Juve game at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea were fantastic. They ripped Juve to pieces and then it’s all changed.
“Callum Hudson-Odoi came out of the team and that was a bit of a strange one, for me. I didn’t quite get that. Reece James is playing in slightly different position but I think he’s a much better wing-back on the right side. Azpilicueta played instead.
“[Tuchel] has juggled with the team, he’s spinning plates a little bit with his squad which hasn’t quite worked out in recent weeks.”
